Η Electronic Arts Inc. μόλις ανακοίνωσε ότι, σύμφωνα με εσωτερικές εκτιμήσεις, οι πωλήσεις που σημειώθηκαν από την πρώτη ημέρα κυκλοφορίας του δημοφιλέστερου ποδοσφαιρικού video game, άγγιξαν το αστρονομικό νούμερο των 2,6 εκατομμυρίων παιχνιδιών σε Ευρώπη και Αμερική, με τον μεγαλύτερο όγκο πωλήσεων να καταγράφεται στην Ευρώπη.«Πρόκειται για μεγάλη επιτυχία της EA SPORTS και για σταθμό στην ιστορία του FIFA αλλά και των video games, γενικότερα», δηλώνει ενθουσιασμένος ο Peter Moore, Πρόεδρος της EA Sports. «Καταρρίψαμε κάθε ρεκόρ που έχει καταγραφεί ποτέ ενώ τα σχόλια των κριτικών είναι διθυραμβικά για το FIFA 11 ως το πιο καινοτόμο και αυθεντικό ποδοσφαιρικό video game που υπήρξε ποτέ. Να σημειωθεί ότι έχει ήδη σημειωθεί ρεκόρ χρηστών, από όλο τον κόσμο, που συνδέονται και παίζουν on-line», αναφέρει.
Το FIFA 11, μεταφρασμένο σε 18 διαφορετικές γλώσσες και διαθέσιμο σε 51 χώρες είναι το πιο δημοφιλές αθλητικό videogame στον κόσμο. Κυκλοφόρησε σε Ευρώπη και Αμερική την 1η Οκτωβρίου και χαρακτηρίζεται από καινοτόμα χαρακτηριστικά όπως το νέο Personality+ που αποτυπώνει τη γνησιότητα και την αυθεντικότητα των παικτών, το 360° Fight for Possession που χαρίζει πραγματική ελευθερία κινήσεων στις man - to - man μονομαχίες και το νέο Pro Passing που προσφέρει απόλυτη ακρίβεια στις πάσες.
